Answer

Hey there, thanks for getting in touch.

You’re telling us that you are getting mixed messages from your friend. Sometimes she can be great fun and you laugh together, but sometimes she can be hurtful.

It sounds like you’re going through a tough time with your friend, and we’re really sorry to hear that. It’s never easy when someone you care about leaves you feeling confused or hurt. Friendships are supposed to be supportive and uplifting, so it’s understandable that you’re struggling with this situation.

It’s great that you enjoy the fun times and laughter with your friend, but it’s important to recognise when something doesn’t feel right. Feeling hurt by someone you’re close to is a valid concern, and you shouldn’t have to brush it off or ignore your feelings to keep the friendship intact. Communication is key in any relationship, including friendships. Have you considered talking to your friend about how you feel? Sometimes, open and honest conversations can lead to a better understanding and stronger bond between friends. However, if you’re worried about losing your friend by speaking up, it might be helpful to think about what kind of friend you want to have in your life. True friends respect each other’s feelings and make an effort to be supportive and kind. If your friend isn’t willing to listen and make changes to improve the friendship, it might be worth re-evaluating whether this is the kind of friendship you want to invest in.
